Project Double Ds Gets ATX Crawl Wheels

The good folks at Wheel Pros were kind enough to outfit Project "Double Ds" with a set of their recently released ATX Series "Crawl" Wheels in the 17x8 with 4.5" back spacing.

When the wheels arrived I wasn't exactly sure how they were going to look on Project Double Ds, and since I could not immediately mount them as I was waiting on the Goodyear MTRs w/Kevlar to arrive. I grew a little more anxious with each passing day about how they were going to look as I am a rather simpleton when it comes to Jeep wheels.

When I got the call from 4Wheel Parts that the tires had come in and they were mounted and balanced, I headed straight out to pick them up. I loaded wheels and tires up and headed straight over to ROCO4x4 to be mounted literally the night before leaving for Jeep Beach!

All my fears were put aside once the wheels were on the rig.. In fact I don't know if I could have picked a better wheel for this project myself. They look fantastic and add a little style to my daily driver and weekend wheeler.

Choosing the right wheel can make or break the looks of a rig. Sure you can argue that if it's round it will work, but there is nothing wrong with looking good while doing it! Honestly, I am thrilled that this is the wheel that will live on this rig and I want to thank American Racing for having the vision of the ATX "Crawl" on Project Double Ds.
